How to play
- You play White and move first. Tap one of your pieces to select it.
- The squares it can legally move to light up — a dot • means move, a ring ○ means capture.
- Tap a highlighted square to move there. Only highlighted squares are legal.
- Remember: pawns move forward but capture diagonally — they cannot take a piece directly in front or to the side.
- Each piece moves differently (rook straight, bishop diagonal, knight in an L, queen any line, king one step).
- Castling, en passant and pawn promotion (to queen) all work automatically.
- Put the computer's king in checkmate to win. Raise the level for a tougher opponent.
