What this is
When you feel floaty, dissociated, or unanchored, this practice uses the weight of your own body as a grounding anchor. Based on autogenic heaviness training (Stetter 2002) and Rothschild's sensory grounding research, you'll identify where your body touches a surface, then feel gravity actively holding you there. The sensation of weight and support brings you solidly into the present moment.
Who it helps
You feel floaty, disconnected, or dissociated from your body. You want to feel grounded and present in this moment. You're looking for a quick somatic anchor when things feel unreal.
