Watch first
Why it works
Sometimes feelings are too complex, heavy, or blocked to be put into words. By externalizing your mood as a color, intensity, and texture, you can acknowledge and "see" your internal state without the frustration of trying to articulate it verbally.
Use this when
- You are completely wordless but feel overwhelmed
- You have "alexithymia" (difficulty naming emotions)
- Talking about feelings feels too hard right now
- You want a gentle, creative way to check in with yourself
What you'll experience
Non-Verbal
Requires zero words to use
Externalizes Emotion
Puts the feeling "out there" to be seen
Bypasses Blocks
Evades the brain's language barriers
Self-Validation
Acknowledges the mood just as it is
Keep in mind
- There are no right or wrong colors for an emotion. Red can mean angry, or it can mean passionate. It's up to you.
- You can skip the final "word" step entirely if you prefer.
This is a creative self-help exercise. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professionals. Everything stays only on your device.
