Questions, answered
Is this therapy or medical treatment?
No. This is a guided self-help experience built on practical, well-known methods. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or a replacement for a professional. If your feelings are intense or lasting, please speak with a doctor or mental-health professional.
Who is this session for?
Mild screen overuse, crying when screens stop, asking repeatedly for phone/TV, difficulty shifting away from screen, or family screen-time conflict.
Who is it NOT suitable for?
Severe behavioural outbursts, developmental concerns, sleep disruption requiring medical help, aggression, or screen use replacing basic functioning. AAP now emphasizes family media planning and quality/context rather than one strict time limit for every child, while AACAP suggests age-sensitive limits and healthy habits, especially avoiding screens replacing sleep, play, family time, and physical activity.
How long does it take?
About 35-45 min, split into small steps. You can pause and resume anytime, and revisit as often as you like.
Is my information private?
Yes. Anything you write in the activities is saved privately on your own device, never uploaded.
Do I get worksheets I can keep?
Yes. The session includes worksheets, trackers and a 7-day plan you can view on screen and download as a PDF.
