A golden canopy shines over your head; your form enchants all beings.
अर्थ: आपने दिव्य रूप धारण किया और भक्तों के सभी कार्य पूरे किए।
You assumed a divine form and fulfilled all the tasks of devotees.
अर्थ: आप सुन्दर महाशक्ति हैं; भूत-प्रेत और मृत्यु भी आपसे डरते हैं।
You are the beautiful great power; spirits and even death fear you.
अर्थ: ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और शंकर आपका ध्यान करते हैं; ऋषि-मुनि भी आपकी सीमा नहीं जान पाते।
Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva meditate on you; sages cannot fathom your greatness.
अर्थ: आप गौरी, शारदा, काली, रमा और लक्ष्मी—सब रूपों में पूजित हैं।

O Jeen Mata, you left home for truth and instantly renounced worldly attachment.
अर्थ: आपने महान तपस्या करने का निश्चय किया; आपके ज्ञानी भाई हर्ष भी आपके साथ जुड़े।
You resolved to perform great austerity; your wise brother Harsh also became part of this path.
अर्थ: पीछे आकर भाई ने समझाया कि माँ की बेटी, घर लौट चलो।
Your brother came after you and requested you to return home.
अर्थ: बहुत समझाने पर भी आपने नहीं माना; तब हर्ष ने ऐसा कहा।
Even after much persuasion you did not agree; then Harsh spoke these words.
अर्थ: मैं भी घर नहीं जाऊँगा; तुम्हारे साथ राम के गुण गाऊँगा।
I too will not return home; I will sing the virtues of Rama with you.
अर्थ: दोनों ने अलग-अलग तपस्थल बनाए और दिन-रात मन लगाकर तप किया।
Both made separate places of austerity and meditated day and night.
अर्थ: आपने तप से दुर्गा स्वरूप पाया और हर्षनाथ भैरव रूप में प्रकट हुए।
Through austerity you attained Durga’s form, and Harsh became manifest as Harshnath Bhairav.
अर्थ: आप सिंह वाहन पर विराजती हैं और हाथ में चमकती तलवार धारण करती हैं।
You ride a lion and hold a shining sword in your hand.
अर्थ: आपके चक्र, गदा और त्रिशूल सुशोभित हैं; दुर्गा के जागते ही दुष्ट भाग जाते हैं।
Your discus, mace, and trident shine; when Durga awakens, the wicked flee.
अर्थ: एक मुगल बादशाह बड़ी सेना सजाकर आक्रमण करने आया।
A Mughal emperor came with a large, prepared army.
अर्थ: उसने भैरव मंदिर तुड़वाया और फिर इस मंदिर पर आक्रमण किया।
He broke the Bhairav temple and then advanced toward this temple.
अर्थ: यह देखकर पुजारी घबरा गए और माता की स्तुति कर उन्हें पुकारा।
Seeing this, the priests became afraid and invoked the Mother through prayer.
अर्थ: तब माता ने भौंरों को छोड़ दिया और सेना सहित घोड़े भाग खड़े हुए।
Then the Mother released swarms of bees, and the soldiers and horses fled.
