WHO Guidelines: Health risk is considered elevated when WHR exceeds 0.90 for males and 0.85 for females. Apple-shaped bodies (higher WHR) have greater cardiovascular and metabolic risk than pear-shaped bodies.
How to measure: Waist: narrowest point (navel level). Hips: widest point around buttocks. Stand relaxed, use a flexible tape measure parallel to the floor.
