जब महा हाथियों को मारा गया, तब कौरवों के घोड़े और रथ बेतरतीबी से गिर पड़े। जैसे तेज़ हवा से पेड़ उखड़ जाते हैं, सेना असहाय हो गई और बिखर गई, युद्ध की भयंकरता को दर्शाते हुए।
