अल्पाहारतया तव अग्निं शमयौदर्यम उत्थितम
जयॊदरं पृथिव्या ते शरेयॊ निर्जितया जितम

जैसे अधपकी आग अपने उचित ईंधन से बढ़ती है लेकिन फिर शान्त हो जाती है, वैसे ही मनुष्य अपनी इच्छाओं को संयमित करके अपने उद्वेग को शांत करता है। जो ऐसे इच्छाओं को जीतता है, वह पृथ्वी पर महान सम्मान पाता है।
