तेजसस तपसश चैव नित्यं बिभ्येद युधिष्ठिर
उभे चैते परित्याज्ये तेजश चैव तपस तथा

युधिष्ठिर को न तो तेजस्वियों से डरना चाहिए और न ही तपस्वियों से। दोनों में ऐसी विशेषताएँ होती हैं जो डराने वाली हो सकती हैं, फिर भी धर्म के प्रति सच्चाई के लिए निडर रहने का संदेश दिया गया है।
