Mahabharata Adi Parva Shloka 1477

⚡ Quick Meaning

The one who desires to protect us can be the Brahmachari, even though the strength of the great sages cannot completely overcome this.

📖 Translations

English Translation

This shloka means that while the Brahmachari, a celibate person devoted to spiritual practices, may wish to aid us, the vast knowledge and austerities of great sages cannot entirely encapsulate or exhaust this condition. It suggests a layers of spiritual understanding that are beyond simple explanations.

🔍 Commentary

In everyday life, this teaches us humility regarding spiritual pursuits, recognizing that some phenomena are complex and independent of our efforts.
