⚡ Quick Meaning

Righteousness does not deteriorate like water upon a lotus leaf, while unrighteousness, like wood, stays firmly rooted.

Translations

English Translation

This shloka conveys that true righteousness does not diminish or decay easily, as evidenced by the nature of water on a lotus leaf. In contrast, unrighteousness remains deeply enmeshed and prevalent like wood, suggesting that unwholesome actions are much harder to eradicate.
