तयक्तैर दरव्यैर यॊ भवति नॊपयुङ्क्ते च कामतः
न च कर्मसु तद धीनः शिष्यबुद्धिर नरॊ यथा
सर्वैर एव गुणैर युक्तॊ दरव्यवान अपि यॊ भवेत

इस श्लोक में कहा गया है कि एक ज्ञानी व्यक्ति जो भौतिक संपत्ति को छोड़ सकता है, इच्छाओं के प्रति आसक्त नहीं होता। ऐसा व्यक्ति, चाहे उसके पास कितनी भी भौतिक संपत्ति हो, गुणों से सम्पन्न दिखाई देता है।
