परादुर्भवन्ति वार्ष्णेय सवकृता यदि वान्यतः

आपद दो प्रकार की होती हैं, बाह्य और आन्तरिक। ये विपत्तियाँ तभी उत्पन्न होती हैं जब व्यक्ति स्वयं अपने कर्मों से विपरीत परिणाम भोगता है। इसलिए अपने कार्यों के प्रति सजग रहना आवश्यक है।
