Mahabharata Shanti Parva –

⚡ Quick Meaning

Just as the path of a bird in the sky is invisible, so is the path of the liberated.

Translations

English Translation

The shloka conveys that the spiritual path of a liberated soul is as elusive as the flight of a bird in the sky. Once liberated, one moves beyond the worldly perceptions, blending into the divine.

Commentary

Context

This verse appears in the Shanti Parva and illustrates the subtlety of understanding life’s spiritual journey.

Meaning

The deeper meaning emphasizes that the path of liberation is not easily seen or understood by the uninitiated.

Recognizing that spiritual progress is often imperceptible can encourage individuals to persist on their path despite difficulties.
