नेत्राभ्यां नस ततश चैव शरॊत्राभ्यां च समन्ततः
परादुरासन महारौद्राः सधूमाः पावकार्चिषः
रॊमकूपेषु च तथा सूर्यस्येव मरीचयः

चारों दिशाओं से शरीर को चीरने वाले तीर सूर्य की किरणों के समान दिखाई दिए। ये तीर युद्ध भूमि पर भयभीत करने वाले थे, जैसे प्रकृति ने अपनी शक्तियों को यहाँ उतार दिया हो, सभी को संभावित विनाश का अनुभव करा रहे थे।
