धृष्टद्युम्नं हतं शरुत्वा दरौपदेया विपां पते
अवाकिरञ शरव्रातैर भारद्वाजम अभीतवत

उस डरावने स्वर के गूंजने पर, महान सारथियों को डर लगने लगा, जब उन्होंने धृष्टद्युम्न की मृत्यु की खबर सुनी, वे डरकर भागते हुए भारद्वाज के आदेश पर छूटे हुए बाणों के प्रबल प्रवाह से भयभीत हो गए।
