⚡ Quick Meaning

Criticism of knowledge can cause one to abandon their own wisdom.

Translations

English Translation

Those who criticize profound knowledge ultimately diminish their own wisdom. Words act as weapons, and thus, speaking ill can deprive one of the fruits of knowledge, just as the cow gives milk.

Commentary

Context

Meaning

It signifies that disdain can lead to a loss of one’s own intellectual treasures while emphasizing the value of constructive discourse.

Application

Engaging in respectful conversations rather than criticism encourages a shared path to wisdom.
