अपरे परद्रुतास तत्र दह्यमाना महागजाः
तरेसुस तथापरे घॊरे वने दावाग्निसंवृताः

महान हाथी आग में जलते हुए जंगल में दौड़ते नजर आए। जंगल में अन्य जीव-जंतु भी भयभीत होकर भागते हुए दिखाई दिए। पेड़ों की तबाही एक प्रज्वलित अग्नि की तरह भूमि पर छाई गई।
