उपभॊक्तुं मनुष्येभ्यः शरशय्यागते हय अहम
परतीक्षमाणस तिष्ठामि निवृत्तिं शशिसूर्ययॊः

Bhishma declared, “I am not here to indulge myself in enjoying worldly pleasures amongst men, as I lie on this bed of arrows. Instead, my focus is to await the end of my journey with a calm acceptance akin to the ebb of day and night.”

भीष्म ने कहा, “मैं मनुष्यों के बीच भौतिक सुखों का आनंद लेने के लिए यहाँ नहीं हूँ, क्योंकि मैं इन तीरों के पलंग पर लेटा हूँ। इसके बजाय, मेरी कमीना यात्रा का अंत स्वागत करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित है, जैसे दिन और रात का अंत।”
