परतिषिध्यमानॊ ऽपय असकृत पृच्छत्य एव स वै दविजान
अभिमानी शरिया मत्तस तम ऊचुर बराह्मणास तदा

जब उसे किसी प्रश्न का उत्तर नहीं मिलता, तो गर्वित व्यक्ति ज्ञानियों से लगातार पूछता है, अपने अहंकार को संभाल न पाने के कारण। ब्राह्मण, उसके जिद्दीपन को समझते हुए, उसे विवेक से जवाब देते हैं, उसे विनम्रता की याद दिलाते हैं।
